Staff Selection Committee (SSC) has begun with the recruitment procedure for the SSC CGL examination to fill up 9372 vacancies in 2020. The students await the release of the admit card. As the exam is scheduled to be conducted in the month of March so, the students have ample amount of time to prepare for this examination and give their best shot.

SSC CGL Syllabus for Tier ll

The for Tier ll covers four papers- Quantitative Aptitude, English Language and comprehension, statistics, and general studies (finance & economics). Paper l and Paper ll are compulsory for all the candidates. Paper lll has to be written by the candidates who have applied for the Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) post. Paper lV has to be written by the students who have applied for the post of Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer.

SSC CGL Syllabus for Tier lll

for Tier lll has to be taken offline. It is a descriptive paper where the candidate’s language proficiency, vocabulary, grammar knowledge and writing skills are to be tested.

The candidates are required to write essay, precis, letter and application under 60 minutes.

The questions asked are based on 10+2 level. Although the exam is qualifying in nature, the candidates are required to secure 33% in this tier.

To prepare well for this Tier, candidates are suggested to read numerous articles from various newspaper. Apart from reading the students can practice letter and application writing.

SSC CGL Syllabus for Tier IV

for Tier lV exam comprises of a couple of skill test which the candidates are required to be cleared for certain government posts. The following syllabus has to be practised to clear this exam.

It tests the typing speed of the candidates.

2000 key depressions for a duration of 15 minutes

  • Word Processing
  • Generation of Slides
  • Spreadsheet

The last step involves document verification. The candidates are required to submit the relevant documents to be selected for the applied post. It is important for the candidates to clear all the tiers for the final selection.

The candidates are suggested to cover all the major topics to ace this examination. The practice is the key to success and holds true in most of the case. It will also help to attain accuracy and would help score well in the exam.
