CAT 2016 on December 4th, Official guide to all important dates

The common admission test is a test conducted by the IIMs (Indian Institute of Management) to allow admission to the MBA aspirants into the premier b-schools. Dates for this exam were eagerly awaited for CAT 2016 and guess what, They are out today.

All important dates for CAT 2016:

1. Exam date for cat 2016–4th December, 2016
2. Registration Open — August 8, 2016 (5 pm)
3. Registration Close — September 22, 2016
4. Admit card issue date — between October 18 (1 pm) to December 4
5. Declaration of Result — Second week of January 2017 (Tentative)

Prof. Rajendra K Bedi, Convener, CAT 2016, IIM Banglore issues the notification for the CAT 2016 exam date and other related information in the morning of July 31, 2016. CAT 2016 will be held in 2 different sessions on the same day. It will be conducted throughout 138 cities simultaneously.

Important Aspects of the Notification for candidates:

1. There is no change in the exam pattern. It is similar to last year. There are 3 sections named as Quantitative ability, Verbal ability and Reading comprehension and Data interpretation and logical reasoning.
2. It will be a 180 minute test, Just like CAT 2015.
3. A video guide will be uploaded to official CAT website from 18th October to help student understand the complete test format
